Required

• Must be a graduate of an approved school for Laboratory Technologists. (MLT students and new graduates actively pursuing CSMLS certification are welcome to apply)
• Must have current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario
• Technical skills and ability to perform essential duties of the position as determined by Quinte Health
• Capable of coping with a physically demanding workload. (Physical Demands Analysis (PDA) available to review)

Duties

• Performs a variety of laboratory procedures, many of which are complex, involve a number of steps and techniques, and require use of professional judgement.
• Competency tests may be performed in Clinical Chemistry, Hematology (including coagulation), and Immunohematology (Blood Bank).
• Professional application of principles, theories, and techniques of medical technology to be used to produce reliable test results which in turn are used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
• Other duties as assigned
